GREEN MEDICINE OF THE INKAS

A kidney transplant peruvian patient at a Hospital in London had developed an infection in the operation incision that would not clear up. Then the patient remembered a remedy he had seen local shamans in his homeland. He asked to a young doctor to bring a papaya. He laid strips of papaya fruit across the infected wound. The wound healed.
This unorthodox medical success was met with ridicule. But although treatment by "green medicine" that means the use of plant remedies, is often derided by the medical profession in Europe and North America, it is commonplace in many other parts of the world, especially in PERU.
Influenced by European and American ideas, much of the cities along the coast of Peru are practicing Western medicine. Still the mountain region and the amazon region practice its traditional medicine.
If a popular folk remedy seems to work, they test it to find its active ingredient and then use this ingredient on a large scale.
One major advantage of herbal remedies is that they are inexpensive. Ninety per cent of the population in the mountain region and the amazonian region rely on their own traditional healers.
Since ancient time, the healers train themselves with the language of NATURE. Flowers, herbs, plants and trees have their own way of communication. Healers are the only ones that notice the time of the day just by observing the behavior of specific flowers. Some plants open and shut their flowers at different times of the day. This is a phenomenon that controls the flowering according to the daylight.
The same application goes to every human being. Like the flowers, everyone of us behave different according to the amount of sunlight that we receive during daytime. It is the healer's observation that determines which type of natural medicine he needs to apply in order to correct the imbalance suffered by the patient's body. Not everybody can consider himself or herself a healer when do not descend from a line of healers that come with the knowledge passed to them from generations to generations.
The ever-spiraling costs of synthetic drugs will force Western medicine to take another look at the properties of the plant remedies use by the healers and in a not distant future, PAPAYA may be a standard treatment for infected wounds.

The world billions of years ago.

People who did not gain or lose a single ounce last year today weigh less than they did a year ago. Friends on opposite sides of the world are moving farther apart every year. Although the differences in each case are minuscule, they are real, and they are all related.
The earth's day had been growing steadily longer over several millions of years. Confirmation came from paleontologists, who study fossil life. They found that patterns of CORAL growth about 400 million years ago indicate that a year in that distant time was some 400 days long. The earth used to spin faster, making each day slightly shorter. Then new studies pointed out that the laws of the universe  are predicting strange behavior concerning "GRAVITY." It will grow weaker as the universe is aging.

According to mounting geologic evidence, the earth was originally only about 80 percent of its present size. Since it is GRAVITY that holds the earth together, it was suggested that at one time the continents
covered the entire surface of a smaller globe, and all of them were underwater.
Over a long period of time, the surface cracked and the fragments began to separate. The water drained into ever-widening gaps and eventually formed today's oceans. The GRAVITY of the earth changed little by little, allowing the globe to expand. The entire universe expanded following the same rules.

The earth, during the first billion years, had an average temperature of around 212 F. No cloud formations, neither rain. Such a temperature was too high to sustain life for plants, animals and humans.
The only life-forms resembled modern bacteria, some of which can thrive at 212 F.
Falling temperatures over the second billion years made the laws to sustain a form of life. The arrival of blue-green algae give us the tolerance of the temperature as high as 160 F. The third billion years ushered in fungi and other algae that can tolerate temperatures up to 140 F. The most recent billion years, with temperatures below 120 F, saw the growth of plants and animals that flourish in the lower temperatures.

Many scientists have concluded that everything in the universe is getting bigger and lighter, also it is getting older, and GRAVITY is growing weaker.

The beginning of everything according to the INKAS.

In the beginning, LIGHT and DARKNESS were the only worlds that existed in the whole universe. After a huge battle, the forces of LIGHT overpower the forces of darkness, confining them into a place where they had their own kingdom and was called the UNDERWORLD.
Since everything was like dreaming, nothing had visible forms. Then the powerful forces of LIGHT did a replica of their powerful KINGDOM taking only a portion equal to the one confined in the underworld in a visible form calling it the MIDDLE KINGDOM. They had power over the beings living in the underworld
The people of the middle kingdom had a body made of four elements : gravity, electro- magnetism, and strong and weak nuclear power. Everything in the middle world become visible with the combination of this four elements. Then the forces of LIGHT established a bridge of connection between them and the ones already formed in the middle kingdom.
The invisible beings of the UNDERWORLD got jealous and made a treacherous plan. They wanted to use the bodies of the ones who belonged to the forces of LIGHT and be able to live in the MIDDLE KINGDOM and rule their world, having the UNDERWORLD and the MIDDLE WORLD for them forever.
They captured all the bodies and the souls of the ones living in the MIDDLE KINGDOM and made them their slaves. Their bodies decreased in power and became weak. They blocked the way in which the forces of LIGHT could connect their power to the ones living into the MIDDLE KINGDOM.
Then the forces of LIGHT developed a skillful plan to recover the ones captured by the forces of darkness. The plan was known only by the ones who preserved themselves pure without any trace of contamination or were able to cleanse their bodies and souls through a hidden way in order to preserve a clear communication.
The recovery of the MIDDLE KINGDOM by the forces of LIGHT started when they were able to clear the blockage that the forces of the underworld did to avoid the communication. The battle continue and the recovery process will end when the middle kingdom recover the body that they had before the beings of the underworld took over and diminished their power.

THE WAR FOR SURVIVAL.

In the tropical FOREST of SUDAMERICA a struggle for survival always took place either between two mighty GIANTS or between butterflies and plants. In this case we are talking about the war between Heliconius butterflies and the Passionflower vines.
In order to reproduce themselves, the butterflies are force to lay eggs on the leaves of passionflowers vines. When the eggs hatch, the offspring feed hungrily on the leaves, that behaviour threatens the passionflower vine to be eaten leaving them out of existence.
NATURE has mechanisms or coverings that are systematically applied to any circumstances giving us the image of the living soul that plant kingdom has. The plant takes a corresponded action in order to survive the attack. The vine have learned to fight back, it applies a series of defenses to limit the damage.
Heliconius butterflies rely mainly on their SIGHT to find the specific type of vines. Knowing this as a fact, the vines vary the shapes of their leaves so they CAMOUFLAGE themselves and made them look like any other plant.
Heliconius butterflies are not easily fooled. They are able to distinguish between the leaves of the passionflower vine and those of other plants by TOUCH: they drum their legs on the surface of the leaf.
The passionflower vine far from giving up use yet another TRICK.  They know that the Heliconius butterfly's offspring has a tendency to EAT ONE ANOTHER, female butterflies are reluctant to lay their eggs on leaves with eggs that may contain potentially LETHAL LARVAE.
Knowing this as a fact, the passionflower vine produces FAKE EGGS in the form of yellow spots, making the Heliconius butterflies believe in the mimic eggs.
Additional weapons the vines employ include the SECRETION OF NECTAR to attract predatory wasps and ants, and, on some species, spikes with chemicals that can paralyse the young caterpillars
Since the vine leaves are poisonous to all caterpillars except the Heliconius and a few other insects, competition for food is reduced. The TOXINS they receive from the leaves, made themselves unpalatable to birds. Consequently, they live longer than many other species of butterflies, perhaps long enough to devise fresh ways to outwit the resourceful passionflower.

ANCIENT CITIES with ADVANCED CIVILIZATIONS part 3

GOBEKLI TEPE ("BELLY HILL" in Turkish), is located at the top of a mountain ridge in the SOUTH-EASTERN ANATOLIA REGION of TURKEY. It was a central location for a CULT OF THE DEAD.
The veneration of the dead is based on the belief that the deceased, often family members, have a CONTINUED EXISTENCE and / or possess the ability to INFLUENCE the fortune of the LIVING. The agriculture, animal husbandry, and weaving, according to them, were brought to humankind from a SACRED MOUNTAIN which was inhabited by deities. They were the ones to whom they maintain a harmonic relationship for the benefit of their land. The point of entrance and exiting  of this world were located at such specific openings marked by the movements of the stars.
Now those places are shown as an early evidence of worship to the deities who dealt with them. Elaborated CARVED BESTIARY are manifested as a form of covering TO PROTECT the DEAD. Animals were believed to have more sensitivity to the world of the spirits. Men believed that they possessed a "bush soul" as well as his own, and that this "bush soul" was incarnated in a wild animal or a tree, with which the individual has some kind of psychic identity. If the "bush soul"was that of an animal, the animal itself was considered as some sort of brother to the man. If the "bush soul" was a tree, the tree was presumed to have something like parental authority over the individual concerned. In both cases an injury to the "bush soul" is interpreted as an injury to the man.
Temples were constructed of massive stones adorned with carved animals and other strange figures. Even stones were considered a form of life.
The existence of this structures is being placed at 11,000 BC. The everyday life manifested through the enormous temple sites give us an idea of a fusion between real and invisible worlds.

ANCIENT CITIES with ADVANCED CIVILIZATIONS. part 2

TIAWANAKU site is in WESTERN BOLIVIA, South America. TIAWANAKU is one of the most precursors to the INKA EMPIRE. It flourished as a major STATE OF POWER and a MORAL and COSMOLOGICAL CENTER of the REGION.
The ruins are near the SOUTH-EASTERN shore of LAKE TITICACA. The site is at an elevation of roughly 3650 meters (11,975 feet) ABOVE the SEA LEVEL, making it the WORLD'S HIGHEST place in which the ruins were found. The site in which the city was built runs NORTH-WEST to SOUTH-WEST, roughly following the CHOQUEYAPU RIVER in the VALLEYS of the ANDES, and is closer to the EASTERN split of the ALTIPLANO REGION. Therefore it is closer to the famous MOUNTAINS such as the ILLIMANI (means "GUARDIAN of PEACE"), HUAYNA POTOSI,  MURURATA and ILLAMPU.
On the WESTERN side of the ALTIPLANO division is the site of the tallest mountain in BOLIVIA and the 9th TALLEST MOUNTAIN IN the ANDES, the SAJAMA VOLCANO.
The water supply of the city came from GLACIERS and naturally canalized to springs formations inside the city.
The observatory place named KALASAYA was the most important site in the city. The astronomical calculations were made by people who knew the COSMOS' way of communication. They were based on the difference in the obliquity of the ecliptic of the period in which they were living on that specific site, marking the date of the construction and from there came the orientation of every single site that dealt with the protection of the sacred energy lines that came from above and through the sacrifices that they offered and the moral codes they follow, they were able to maintain a covenant between them and the SOURCE.
The EARTH was pictured as a SHIP, sailing on the vast OCEAN of the HEAVENS. They pictured the EARTH floating in SPACE, similar as boarding a ship ready to sail and as it rolls we stand on the deck gazing out to the sea. We rise up on the crest of a wave and our visible horizon increases; when we fall back into a trough, it decreases. The process is regular, mathematical, constant, perpetually changing the angle between ourselves and the horizon.
The axis of the EARTH's daily rotation lies slightly tilted away from the vertical in its orbit around the sun. From this it follows that the TERRESTRIAL EQUATOR (extension of the earth's equator into the CELESTIAL SPHERE) must also lie at an angle to the ORBITAL PLANE. That ANGLE at any one TIME, is the OBLIQUITY of the ECLIPTIC. But because the EARTH is a SHIP that ROLLS, its OBLIQUITY CHANGES IN A CYCLICAL MANNER OVER LONG PERIODS.
They maintained a constant view towards the movements of the stars giving them in advance  the information they needed. Their way of live depended entirely in maintain a clear connection with the SOURCE.
What kind of living beings built it? The only answer is that they had superior use of their bodies and were able to travel anywhere using the charts and graphs that we are not able to understand.

ANCIENT CITIES with ADVANCED CIVILIZATIONS part 1

The latest archaeological findings have pushed the boundaries of CIVILIZATION much further back, to 10,000 BC, which sites as JERICHO, LAKE TITICACA and TIAWUANAKU, and most recently GOBEKLI TEPE.
The existence of JERICHO has been known for decades, and has been dated to 8,000 BC.
JERICHO means "MOON CITY." The first Canaanite city WEST of the JORDAN RIVER, fourteen miles (23 kilometers) NORTH EAST of JERUSALEM. Lying over 800 feet (240 meters) BELOW SEA level in THE JORDAN VALLEY.  The JORDAN is a 251-kilometre (156mi)- long RIVER in WEST ASIA. The river drops rapidly FROM the SEA LEVEL down to the SEA OF GALILEE and meanders TO 422 meters (315mi) BELOW SEA LEVEL  before entering the DEAD SEA. Two major tributaries enter from the EAST during its last section : the YARMOUK RIVER and the JABBOK RIVER.
Before the ISRAELITES entered the PROMISE LAND, MOSES (was given supernatural powers by GOD) TOLD them that THEY WERE NOW ABOUT TO CROSS the JORDAN RIVER, to DISPOSSESS NATIONS WHO WERE GREATER and STRONGER than themselves, WITH LARGE CITIES HAVING WALLS that REACHED, AS IT WERE, TO THE SKY. Deut. 9:1
JESUS was baptized IN the RIVER JORDAN.
JERICHO was indeed heavily fortified. It was surrounded by a GREAT EARTHEN RAMPART, or embankment, with a STONE RETAINING WALL AT ITS BASE. The retaining wall was some 4 to 5 meters (12-15 feet) high. On top of that was a mud-brick wall 2 meters (6 feet) thick, and about 6 to 8 meters (20-26 feet) high. At the crest of the embankment was a similar mud-brick wall whose base was roughly 14 meters (46 feet) above the ground level outside the retaining wall. The symbolic representation of power if we are talking about ENERGY or COSMIS POWER is being showed with this description. How they were protected by each of the different forms of living beings.
This is what the ISRAELITES weighed as they marched around the city each day for seven days.
The citizens of JERICHO were well prepared for a siege. A spring, which provided WATER, lay inside the CITY WALLS.  At the time of the attack the harvest had just been taken. With plentiful food supply and ample water, the inhabitants of JERICHO could have held out for a long period of time.
After the seven trip around the city on the seventh day, SCRIPTURE tells us that THE WALL "FELL DOWN FLAT." (JOSHUA 6:20). The city and its power was subdue by a superior one coming from the SOURCE.

The existence of the mysterious TIAWANAKU has been dated to 15,000 BC.
The local people say : The GREAT CREATOR GOD, WIRACOCHA, decided to MAKE A WORLD for MEN to LIVE in it, carving great STONE FIGURES of GIANTS which HE brought to LIFE. At first all went well but after a time the GIANTS BEGAN TO FIGHT among themselves and REFUSED TO WORK. WIRACOCHA decided that HE MUST DESTROY THEM. Some HE turned back into stone ... the rest HE OVERWHELMED with A GREAT FLOOD.
MEN were DROWNED IN THE DELUGE, and OUT of the LAKE TITICACA came one WIRACOCHA in a new human form. who stayed in TIAWUANAKU. He then created the SUN and MOON and STARS. After that HE RENEWED the HUMAN POPULATION of the EARTH...
The CITY later suffered immense destruction in a phenomenal natural catastrophe around the 11,000 BC., and thereafter rapidly became separated from the lakeshore.                     ......     ..... continue ...

AKATOR is really a myth?

There is a network of tunnels, some still in existence TODAY and used by the locals to interconnect people from the valley, from the jungle, and from the mountains.
Not everybody is allowed to enter in them because of the sacredness of the ground. Many adventurers were killed for unknown reasons, in the process of finding AKATOR.
Since 1970s, the AMAZON has become much more open to the world. AKATOR, however, remains undiscovered. Tunnels or stone cities in the heartland of the Amazon are unlikely to find them, but not impossible. The Amazon and South America as a whole continue to reveal its history to us.

The Amazonian UGHA MOGULALA tribe (which makes an appearance in the Indiana Jones movie) held the myth sacred - or at least central - to their mythology and philosophy. The year in which the story takes place is 10,481 BC, perfectly fitting in the ATLANTIS and DELUGE stories.
The story tells about GODS that came FROM a very distant SOLAR SYSTEM. They built an underground tunnel system in South America, mapping the exact disposition of the way in which the stars were cosmically interconnected and from which our world depended on. Each element on its own and all together at the same time and space.

On July 24, 1911, American historian Hiram Bingham announced the discovery of MACHU PICCHU to the world, but he had actually been searching for the lost cities. Around Machu Picchu was the city of VILCABAMBA, this city was the last refuge of the INKA as the Spanish invaders came to PERU.
Today, MACHU PICCHU is one of the most desired travel destinations in the world and a truly wonderful experience to have.

THE MYTH OF THE CRYSTAL KINGDOM OF AKATOR

AKATOR,  a mythical town deep within the AMAZONIAN JUNGLE, and other 13 underground cities, were the properties of a CIVILIZATION that was LEFT BEHIND.
Their most important ancient towns were AKATOR, AKANIS, and AKAHIM, as well as CUSCO and MACHU PICCHU, known as a the center of the INKA EMPIRE.
The first city, AKANIS, was built on a narrow strip of land connecting two larger masses of WATER (isthmus) located in what is now MEXICO. The place where two oceans meet in that area is now PANAMA.
The second was AKATOR (the name derived from "AKA"="FORT," and "KOR"= "TWO") and lay far up the PURUS RIVER, in a HIGH VALLEY IN THE MOUNTAINS of the BORDER between BRAZIL and PERU. The whole city was SURROUNDED BY A HIGH STONE WALL WITH
THIRTEEN GATES. The gates were so NARROW that gave access only to one person a time.
The city had a GREAT TEMPLE OF THE SUN.  The Temple contained documents, such as maps and drawings telling the story of the Earth and the Cosmos. One of the maps showed that our MOON was not the first and the only that existed since the formation of the universe. The MOON that we know began to approach the Earth and to circle around it THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO.
The third city or fortress was AKAHIM, which was apparently not mentioned during the time of the first and second cities, it came after the year 7315 BC. It was linked with AKATOR, and was situated on the BORDERS of BRAZIL and VENEZUELA.
Another 26 STONE CITIES were built around AKATOR, including Humbaya and Paititi in BOLIVIA; Emin, Cadira in VENEZUELA; and so on. All of them were completely DESTROYED IN THE FIRST GREAT CATASTROPHE 13 YEARS AFTER THE DEPARTURE OF THE GODS.

How to perceive our own magnetic field.

When we talk about "TRUTH," the concept is a lot deeper than what is visible to our physical eyes, tangible tour hands, and translatable to our minds. It is about what gets into your electromagnetic field. This energy field is our "home frequency," in other words, our personal energy vibration. OUR BODIES vibrate in specific frequencies, sourced by the cosmic energy enlivening and sustaining existence, able to transmit to us their grace and power.
Spirit and Matter interconnect each other in an environment that transform everything in an encompassing harmony as like dancing together showing how the process of complementation elaborate a fusion of each of them, transforming the path into a new reality.
Energy is present in everything and everywhere and is perceived in our minds through our senses.
The Earth's spin within an infinite electromagnetic field. Everything in it participates in this swirling, oscillating and vibrating energy. At the same time the Cosmic Energy is interconnected with it. So when we are dealing with ENERGETIC FREQUENCIES, it is "something" vibrating in the outer cosmic environment and at the same time vibrations in us interconnect our personal frequency to the one in the outer space.
The clear understanding of the inter-connection of SPIRIT/MIND/BODY  and our frequency interconnected with the cosmos make us to live in harmony with the invisible, energetic laws that support all life.

The INKA"S understanding of "ENERGY."

The INKA's belief about "ENERGIES" consisted in the belief of TWO NATURAL, COMPLEMENTARY and CONTRADICTORY FORCES in the UNIVERSE. Both of the forces, they believed, were different, but in the best way, they mutually complement each other. They were constantly moving and influence each other. They were dynamic in equilibrium. As one of them declined, the other opposing force, increased to an equal degree.
When they were in harmony with the universe then they were channeling the UNIVERSE 'S LIFE FORCE that they named "Kawsay." They believed that this "ENERGY" was the greatest one that animated the universe.
The HIGH FREQUENCY ENERGY that came from BEING in HARMONY with the universe, was named "SAMI." In order to receive the high frequency energy (SAMI), you were suppose to GIVE IT to OTHER PEOPLE, PLACES, OBJETS, etc. If your RELATIONSHIP were in BALANCE (marrying with the force) then the individual was able to BE INFUSED with the HIGH FREQUENCY ENERGY(SAMI).
The CONTRADICTORY ENERGY that played its role was named "HUCHA." It was defined as "HEAVY," "DENSE," "DARK ENERGY." In their common use in everyday life was identified as "guilt," "fault," "sin," "crime."
They understood that this LINE of LIVING ENERGIES in the universe were REFLECTED ON EARTH, and they were identified through a number of symbols and marked in a way that they saw the projection of these line of living energies running through the earth, or between two ritual sites named "CEKE." This sacred energy line connected places, people and things.
The "HEART" of the individual was the SEAT of AFFECTION and MOTIVATION. They believed that the "heart" was the MOTIVATOR of the MIND and course of action is illustrated in the manner that they made the preparation and offerings to the principal ENERGY of the whole UNIVERSE.
Everyone "HEARTS" were unified as a "COLLECTIVE ENERGY" from earth that  as a form of skill and labor, impelled and incited the whole population to be UNIFIED as ONE and at the same time a COLLECTIVE FORCE strong enough to surpass any barrier that interfered with it and  FOCUSING
on WHAT THE HEART of the EMPIRE really WAS before the EYES OF THE SUPERIOR FORCE. In other words the LANGUAGE of the HEART was treated as "the SECRET SOUL of the HEART." The heart was considered separated and distinct from the "mind," associated with the brain,
allowed for close interrelation, interplay and interdependency between them. The mind was the one to gather information and knowledge making it a center of information. It processed and reasoned any kind of information, however the HEART greatly affected the INDIVIDUAL's ACTIONS. The heart of the individual was the one who processed the living energy coming from the high frequency source and acted, making the INKA receive plans and guided thinking to pursuit in HARMONY the UNITY  of the EMPIRE with the UNIVERSE.

The GATEWAY of ARAMU MURU.

ARAMU MURU was a legendary MASTER TEACHER who brought the GOLDEN DISK from the ancient continent of LEMURIA to the ANDES in order to CONNECT the PEOPLE to the DIVINE
 CENTRAL SUN (HATUN INTI).
According to legend, a GOLDEN DISK that HELD the RECORD of many ANCIENT civilizations
was BROUGHT from LEMURIA by ARAMU MURU.
The records covered many things and laid down the patterns of life for the whole Empire. There were records about creation of sacred places, land, people, animals and plants, law and customs. It was a complex network of KNOWLEDGE, FAITH, and PRACTICES. The records informed all spiritual and physical aspects of cosmic and earthly life.

ARAMU MURU taught that every person essentially exists eternally in the invisible world. This eternal part existed before the life of the individual begins, and continues to exist when the life of the individual ends. Both before and after life, this SPIRIT-CHILD exists in the invisible world and is only initiated into life by being born through a mother.
Upon birth, the child was considered to be a special custodian of that part of his land and was taught the songs or lyrics (certain vibrations) pertaining to that place.
Before humans, animals, and plants came into being, their "SOULS" existed; they knew they would become physical, but not when. The SPIRITUAL PURPOSE of that specific soul was AGREED upon before the incarnation into this REALITY (materialization). The soul contract (guided plan for the individual's life) was in the DIVINE; the soul co-created the contract with divine guidance and it included many individual agreements (subcontracts) to meet and work with certain people, in certain places, at certain times. The earthly commitments, tasks assigned, lessons agreed to learn in this incarnation were established in order to fulfill to DIVINE potentiality.

The GOLDEN DISK was kept at  TIAWANAKU,  PUCARA  and  CUSCO. It was made of special gold and to have a particular VIBRATION that could ACTIVATE inherent POWERS. The gate manifested itself in a higher dimension and could be reached when the individual expanded the level of
consciousness into the world of the subconsciousness.

GUIDING ANCESTORS, who were they?

ANCESTORS played an important ROLE in THEIR EMPIRE. The laws and customs established by the ANCESTOR' S SPIRIT acted as GUIDELINES for LIFE to them and his descendants.
This ANCESTORS existed OUTSIDE TIME, their souls returned to the ETERNAL PRESENT of the SPIRITUAL WORLD.
They laid down the PATTERNS OF LIFE for the INKA's EMPIRE. It represented a complex network
of KNOWLEDGE, FAITH and PRACTICES. It pervaded and informed all SPIRITUAL and PHYSICAL aspects of the everyday life during INKA's time, and today still in use in some regions.

The BELIEVE that EVERY PERSON essentially EXISTS ETERNALLY in the SPIRIT WORLD made them aware that this eternal part existed before the life of the individual begun, and continued to exist when the life of the individual ended.
Both before and after life, it was believed that this SPIRIT existed in the INVISIBLE WORLD and is only initiated into life in this material reality by being born through a mother. When the mother felt the child move in the womb for the first time, it was thought that this was the WORK OF THE SPIRIT OF THE LAND IN WHICH the MOTHER then STOOD.

 Upon birth, the child was considered to be a special custodian of the part of his country and was taught the stories, ceremonies, rituals, dances, song lines of that specific place. This process of identification helped to develop a sense of identity and belonging that was used later in terms of sacrifices for the nation in ritual ceremonies. The child was prepared in mind and soul for these rare type of offerings.
Children were considered purer than adults and the sacrificed child become deified as a representative of the people , living with the gods forever. Such children were worshipped. Usually they were children of high-ranking kingship AYLLUS OF THE PROVINCES, bringing them to CUSCO to be trained since BIRTH for the ritual, SANCTIFIED in the CORICANCHA, and then marched along the LINE OF LIVING ENERGIES running through the AREA, or BETWEEN TWO RITUAL SITES
(cekes) TO THEIR HOMES and then SACRIFICED in a ritual ceremony.
The SACRIFICED reconfirmed and reasserted INKA SOVEREIGNTY over the PROVINCES.
The INKAS were convinced that THEIR FATE WAS INTERTWINED WITH THE MOVEMENTS
OF THE STARS and PLANETS. And they were obliged to present these extreme case of sacrifice in an attempt to forestall the cataclysm that would destroy their world, or halt the march of time and prevent the apocalyptic events foreshadowed by changes in the NIGHT SKY.

INKAS' philosophy : "EVERYTHING IS ENERGY."

Inka's philosophy manifested that the LIFE FORCE that ANIMATES THE UNIVERSE comes from:
1) the COLLECTIVE, 2) GENETIC, 3) and SPIRITUAL energies. This ENERGIES permeates all of CREATION and comes on various VIBRATIONAL LEVELS.
To get to know their own powers (authentic self) They needed to pay attention to the ENERGIES that worked inside their beings.
They believed that the physical body can be trap or stay locked in their own animalistic habits, unless  by themselves,  became aware about the existence of a self that worked higher than the material body or level, a higher SPIRIT, or a SOUL that lies deep within each human being.
This level of SPIRITUALITY using their own physical bodies lived beyond the material world and beyond the CONSCIOUS MIND.
This LEVEL that can only BE EXPERIENCED is not studied or understood by the CONSCIOUS MIND. This level was the one who EXPERIENCED MANY LEVELS OF REALITY, yet it was always awake in them and accessible at any time, it never slept.
In this SPIRITUAL LEVEL the PHYSICAL BODY project from the inside world the ESSENCE of LIFE of the AUTHENTIC SELF, for each of them were a UNIQUE RAY FROM THE SAME SUN.
When the connection was missing then the physical body started to decay, been prisoner of their own fatalities and feeling totally empty.
For them, everything was ENERGY. The world was a manifestation of another REALITY that existed
in the COSMOS. These world was the PLACE where WE REMEMBERED WHO WE WERE.
This WORLD of material CONSCIOUSNESS, according to them, was INTERCONNECTED WITH
the DIFFERENT WORLDS OF VIBRATION AND ENERGY.
They said, that WE WERE HERE TO EXPERIENCE NOT TO JUDGE.  This was the WORLD of
the PUMA. As the animal faced different sorts of terrains in its habitat, in the same way our souls were suppose to face different realities within THESE MIDDLE WORLD OF EXPERIENCE.

TAMBOS, were they supernatural gates?

TAMBO (Span), TAMPU, They were places used  as lodges, houses, temporary storage houses, post houses built at intervals of a day's journey along INKA's roads.

TAMBO MACH' AY means "TEMPLE OF THE WATERS." There are THREE CEREMONIAL WATER FOUNTAINS at Tambomach' ay.
The WATER found here is CLEAR and CRYSTALLINE. Its SOURCE IS UNKNOWN and IT IS CONDUCTED THROUGH an UNDERGROUND CHANNEL.
Many people call this site INKA'S BATH and say that these LITURGICAL FOUNTAINS ARE
ETERNAL YOUTH FOUNTAINS OF FERTILITY, thus inducing visitors to drink the water.

TAMBO TOCO, means "PLACE OF WINDOWS. " The name of the MOUNTAIN IN PACARI-
TAMBO in which there are THREE CAVES. The CENTRAL ONE WAS THE ONE FROM WHICH THE INKA ANCESTORS EMERGED.

The "TEMPLE OF THREE WINDOWS" at MACHU PICCHU mirrors TAMBO TOCO.
Out of the first two came the lineage of the MARAS and the TAMBO, who FAILED TO PRODUCE
DESCENDANTS.
From the LAST CAVE CAME THE AYAR BROTHERS, the BELOVED CHILDREN OF THE
SUN. Since their MISSION was to POPULATE THE WORLD, the god INTI gave each one of them
a wife.
Thus, AYAR MANCO - the eldest - had as wife his own sister MAMA OCLLO;
          AYAR AUCA had MAMA HUACO;
         AYAR UKHU had MAMA RAURA and
         AYAR CACHI was paired with MAMA CORA.

The INKA EMPIRE, the gate to other dimensions.

The INKA EMPIRE was one of the greatest STATES developed IN the AMERICAS. It EMERGED from CUSCO region, EXPANDED across the WESTERN HIGHLANDS and COAST of SOUTH
AMERICA, and ultimately encompassed a TERRITORY that stretched from MODERN DAY
COLOMBIA to CHILE.
By the TIME of EUROPEAN CONTACT in 1532, the INKA STATE controlled a POPULATION of MORE THAN SIX MILLION inhabitants.
It WAS NOT the ORIGINAL creator of CULTURE in its expansive area of SOUTH AMERICA.
It was, rather, the INHERITOR of more ANCIENT CULTURES, many of which the INKA CONQUERED and ABSORBED. Therefore a study of these PROGENITOR CULTURES enhances understanding of the INKA CULTURE.

How these great EMPIRE got the combination of WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE to get access to OTHER DIMENSIONS and work together in order to prepare  people living in these material reality
overcome the difficulties of being caught in the lower realms at the point of birth to gain access and status to the world in project, invisible in this reality but to be the real world for eternity.

The STRONG and POWERFUL MEN in charge to give instruction to the ones who were able to resist the very hard training, were called "TEACHERS" or "MASTERS" (Sinchi Runa).
The masters had the POWER TO IMMERSE themselves in water for hours and days TO GAIN CONTACT WITH the UNDERWATER WORLD. During this time they cease to have relations with human realities and connected themselves with the parallel world and dedicated themselves to their underwater reality (subconscious world) in which they also had a life with a wife in a spirit form.
Its mission in SPIRIT is to travel around the WORLD, paying visit to all who call them for help.

These "TEACHERS" have acquired, not only SPIRIT HELPERS, but ALSO the SOULS of POWERFUL ANCESTORS who OBTAINED WISDOM by impersonal application of knowledge. This WISDOM of OPEN SPACES only needs HEAD, INTUITION and SEEING in order to gain contact with the other spirit realms.

The one of the FOUR REGIONS where these "TEACHERS" lived during INKA times WERE the  KOLLASUYU. The name of the mountain where they lived were called the KOLLAWAYA. This region was the home of the extraordinary lineage of STRONG and POWERFUL MEN.
This region together with the other three  formed the TAWANTINSUYU. This name comprised all the
regions in which the LINES OF LIVING ENERGIES WERE WORKING FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE WHOLE EMPIRE.

HANAN and HURIN CUSCO, what it means to us?

The SACRED CENTER of the city of CUSCO was conceived as a STYLIZED SACRED PUMA.
The HEAD is represented by the MIGHTY FORTRESS of SACSAHUAMAN, the HEART by the
MAIN SQUARE of HUACAYPATA, and the TAIL by the CONVERGENCE of the HUATANAY
and the TULLUMAYO RIVERS.

CUSCO was THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE for them. More than 300 of the MOST IMPORTANT SACRED SITES (Huacas) in the area AROUND CUSCO were CONCEIVED OF AS LYING AROUND 41 LINES OF LIVING ENERGIES (cekes) EMANATING FROM the TEMPLE of the SUN in the CORICANCHA, UNITING 328 SACRED SITES and STATIONS EQUAL TO THE NUMBER OF DAYS IN 12 LUNAR MONTHS (328days/12months=27.3days, the lunar cycle).

The LINES OF LIVING ENERGIES (cekes) were GROUPED as to HANAN and HURIN. Upper and Lower, respectively - CUSCO  and thus the FOUR REGIONS OF the INKA EMPIRE (Tawantinsuyu). Those lines of living energies radiated outward from the CORICANCHA TO THE FOUR regions.

To the INKAS, the EARTH was made of FOUR QUARTERS of living energies, whose MAKE A DIVISION IN FOUR GROUPS OF LIVING ENERGY LINES INTERSECTING IN the sacred city of CUSCO, dividing the EMPIRE in FOUR QUARTERS. Each QUARTER absorbed a quarter of lines of these living energies, and the care of each sacred place (huaca) in which these lines of living energies rested was assigned to a particular group of people. In these way, these living energies were helped in order to coordinate social relationship among people, as well as to organize sacred spaces.
The mighty fortress of SACSAYHUAMAN, considered the HEAD of the PUMA, holds a zig-zagged
outer walls representing the fierce teeth of the animal. The fortress is noted for an extensive system of underground tunnels (maze like tunnels) connecting the fortress throughout the ANDES and some islands on LAKE TITICACA.

Who was the INKA?

INKA, in the beginning, represented a ruling class of designated people inhabiting CUSCO VALLEY.
The name comes from the ancient word "ENQA" which means "BLACK HOLE" or " ONE WHO
CAN ABSORB ALL THE LIVING ENERGIES.

The INKA have ATTAINED MYTHIC STATUS IN THE AMAZON. Among the VEGETALISTAS (a man or a woman who travels to the parallel worlds where TIME and SPACE
have no meaning and who uses the powers of those worlds to cause changes in the realities of this world), the INKA is considered to be The Father and Creator of humanity.
They do not disappear instead THEY CONTINUE TO LIVE,  enchanted, IN CITIES UBDER THE
EARTH AND SPIRIT CITIES IN THE SKY.

There is evidence that the INKA ROYALTY had a spoken language that was maintained in secret.
In his capacity as the REPRESENTATION OF THE SUN ON EARTH, his presence brought warmth
and light to make the world habitable. It represented the knowledge and learning in INKA times; the organizing principle; the regeneration of life; birthing process; the creative force of everything.

According to legend, a GOLDEN DISC that held the record of many ancient civilizations was brought
from THE CONTINENT OF LEMURIA by a legendary master teacher, TO THE ANDES in order to CONNECT the PEOPLE TO THE DIVINE CENTRAL SUN.
The GOLDEN DISK was KEPT at TIAWANAKU, PUCARA and CUSCO. It was said to be made
of SPECIAL GOLD and TO HAVE A PARTICULAR VIBRATION THAT COULD ACTIVATE
INHERENT POWERS. In the INVISIBLE WORLD the type of beings capable of moving between
dimensions were familiar with this type of vibrational traveling.
When Spanish arrived, the GOLDEN DISK was TAKEN from CUSCO to the Monastery of the Seven Rays and later HIDDEN IN A CRYSTAL CITY IN THE DEPTHS OF LAKE TITICACA.

WIRACOCHA, a cosmological god.

WIRACOCHA, was associated with the WATER ELEMENT, with the WHITE COLOR, with the MILKY WAY, with the PERIPHERY (boundaries), and the SPACE (space/time come together and life happens below their place).
The INKA concept about the cycle of life outside the earth is overwhelming. The elliptical journey of the EARTH around the SUN, and our STAR SYSTEM around THE CENTER OF THE GALAXY
were pretty much known to them. Thus the understanding of the elliptical ENERGY BUBLE around
the body was part of their everyday life.

In INKA cosmology, the MOVEMENTS of the CELESTIAL RIVER (Milky Way=MAYU) were the starting point for calendar correlations with natural changes on the EARTH. From these observations the INKAS organized daily, seasonal, and annual labor and ritual.

The inter cardinal AXES of the CELESTIAL RIVER (Milky Way =MAYU) corresponded to the ROUTES OUT OF CUSCO TO the TAWANTINSUYU and the LINE of living ENERGY (CEKE)
alignments.

The INKAS were convinced that their FATE was INTERTWINED with the MOVEMENTS of STARS and PLANETS. Drawing on their ancient mythological database, the INKAS REASONED, from the principle "as above" so "below," that LOSS of contact with the ANCESTORS, upon which
their RELIGIOUS BELIEFS WERE FOUNDED, would mean their WAY of LIFE would BE DESTROYED on EARTH. The GATE or bridge to the LAND of the ANCESTORS was about to BE WASHED AWAY (that is, the rising of the December solstice SUN with the MILKY WAY).

CHRISTIAN' s BELIEFS vs. INKA's BELIEFS

GOD OF ISRAEL :Throughout the SCRIPTURES GOD is identified as the CREATOR. He is
the CREATOR of the HEAVENS the FORMER of the EARTH and the MAKER of it.
He is the FORMER of the MOUNTAINS and the CREATOR of the WIND, and is
the ONE who MAKE the HEAVEN and the EARTH and the SEA and ALL the THINGS in them.  JESUS CHRIST recognized GOD as the ONE who CREATED HUMANS, making them MALE and FEMALE. Hence, GOD is fittingly and uniquely called THE CREATOR.
By the WORD of GOD the HEAVENS themselves were MADE, and by the SPIRIT of his MOUTH all their ARMY.
While the EARTH was yet FORMLESS and WASTE with DARKNESS upon the SURFACE of the WATERY DEEP. It was the POWER of GOD that was MOVING TO and FRO over the SURFACE of the WATER."
He CREATED the THINGS in perfect ORDER, rather than chaos or chance, but of PEACE.  
HE took SPECIFIC STEPS in FOUNDING the EARTH and BARRICADING the SEA and
he indicated that THERE EXIST "STATUTES of the HEAVENS.

WIRACOCHA, The GOD of CREATION.  Associated with WATER, WHITE, the MILKY WAY,
the PERIPHERY and HURIN.
HURIN was the SPACE in which SPACE / TIME come together and LIFE happens. Also was the RELATIONSHIP of PARALLELISM TO the HORIZON (going across rather than up and down)
with CEKES.
CEKE was the LINE of LIVING ENERGY running THROUGH the EARTH, OR BETWEEN
TWO RITUAL SITES. The CEKES were an INKA CONCEPT in which THE CROSSING PATHS
OF ASTRONOMY, OBSERVATION, ARCHITECTURAL ALIGNMENT, and the SOCIAL and
GEOGRAPHICAL DIVISIONS INTER-VOWEN forming the INKA EMPIRE.
There were LINES OF LIVING ENERGY (cekes) EMANATING FROM THE TEMPLE OF THE SUN IN THE CORICANCHA, UNITING a number of HUACAS (niches) and stations equal to
the number of DAYS IN 12 LUNAR MONTHS.
The lines of living energies (cekes) were grouped as to UPPER CEKE (HANAN=CUSCO) and LOWER CEKE (HURIN=TAWANTINSUYU).
One example of the CORICANCHA-CEKE-HUACA system is the SPRING OF CATACHILLAY.
Each of the numbered CEKES was the responsibility of a CLAN that was expected to tend the HUACAS (niches) along the LINE OF LIVING ENERGY and offer sacrifices on appropriate occasions.  The attendant to whom the duties were delegated were usually old people. They could explain the significance of their particular HUACA, acting as a kind of ORAL MEMORY-BANK.
They knew the CORRECT FORMULAS FOR MAKING SACRIFICES AND THE OFFERINGS
THAT WERE TO BE GIVEN AND WOULD PROMISE BLESSING.

WHO ARE THE "KOLLA HUAYAS?"

The KOLLA HUAYAS means "the one who carries the medicine," are the healers who live at the ACAMANI MOUNTAIN, whose habitants are HERBALISTS. They are know as the "magicians."

KOLLAHUAYA, during the INKA empire, was a PROVINCE of the ANTISUYU (now in Bolivia).
The Antisuyo was the NORTHEAST corner of the TAWANTINSUYU (name of the empire).
The TAWANTINSUYU comprised the ANDES mountain regions NORTH, EAST, and SOUTHEAST of CUSCO as far as the foothills overlooking the AMAZON FOREST.
Mythically, the ANTISUYU had to do with learning realities through conventional means, and the shaman learning through revelation, awakening directly through the DIVINE PACHA's consciousness
of LOVE (TUKUY MUNAYNIYOC). Corresponding to NORTH direction of a medicine wheel.
The medicine wheel is the representation or the symbolization of the INDIVIDUAL JOURNEY WE TAKE, TO FIND OUR OWN PATH. All medicine wheels are representations of the universes of
SPACE / TIME and of ENERGY and SPIRIT. Also they represent the FOUR DIRECTIONS and
the FOUR ELEMENTS (earth, air, fire, water), with the center representing the individual.

On the BOLIVIAN side of LAKE TITICACA, the HIGH ANDES, are the home of THE EXTRA-ORDINARY LINEAGE OF HEALERS known as the KOLLA HUAYAS.
They were the DOCTORS to the INKAS and ruling class. For THOUSANDS OF YEARS they have TRAVELLED THROUGHOUT SOUTH AMERICA, healing and gathering KNOWLEDGE OF
HERBS and CEREMONY.

The KOLLA HUAYAS are able to SEE into the PATTERNS of many aspects of LIVE, such as
WORK,   WORSHIP,   HEALTH,   and   RELATIONSHIP.  Whenever they find a sort of imbalance,
they are able to re-pattern the way or path, it sounds like they are able to help the patient to look into the invisible world and see with clarity what is wrong and how he/she can deal with it, and regain PEACE and HARMONY along the JOURNEY OF LIFE.

SORCERY, what it means?

SORCERY : OCCULT and MAGICAL practices associated with HOSTILITY, EVIL and DARK-
NESS, tending to INDUCE ILLNESS and DEATH, rather than healing.
Much of the concept of MAGIC-WORKING SORCERY is BASED ON THE COLLECTIVE BELIEF that EVIL SPIRITS CAN BE INDUCED : 1) either to leave or to enter a person;
2) that they can be tricked and deceived;   3) that they can be captured or trapped into a piece of wood
or a clay image.
All such notions naturally gave rise to a crafty class of magic-practicing sorcerers, who exercised great power over the lives of the people. The INKA ruler had concerns about this type of crafty magic-practitioners; women attendants instantly swallowed any hairs that fell from his head, in the event that
they should fall into the hands of a SORCERER.

SORCERERS and SHAMANS study the same secret arts and powers, yet approach practice with very different intentions.

In the AMAZON, a indigenous HEALER, train himself using the plants' kingdom. He can only become a good HEALER by keeping a DIET or FASTING FOR YEARS.
He is able to DISTINGUISH THE TYPE OF SORCERY his patient is suffering from by ingesting
AYAHUASCA and observing the type of lights (AURA) surrounding the patient. The drink is a brew of a kind of liana of the Amazon region. The active ingredient of this brew is HARM-INE, that allows
the healer to be guided beyond the realms of death. This realm controlled by evil spirits can be observed
by the healer and by observation he is able to assess the spell, then he can produce good results by breaking the spells and canceling the curses.

SHAMAN, what it means?

SHAMAN, in the language of the INKAS - "TUNGUS." A person, male or female, who HAS AN
OVERWHELMING PSYCHOLOGICAL EXPERIENCE THAT TURNS HIM TOTALLY
INWARD. The WHOLE UNCONSCIOUS WORLD OPENS UP, and the person falls into it.

The person is able to TRAVEL TO THE PARALLEL WORLDS WHERE TIME and SPACE have
NO MEANING and who USES THE POWERS OF THOSE WORLDS : The WORLD OF THE
SUBCONSCIOUS and the REALITIES OF THIS WORLD to cause change.

They can alter a person's health, the weather, or the relationship between a community and its surround-
ings.  The person does this to contact and utilize a hidden reality to acquire knowledge and to help others.

 Since the SHAMANISM encompasses a variety of indigenous religious beliefs and practices, to act as intermediary between a SPIRIT ENTITY, or SPIRITS and HUMAN BEINGS, it requires a very special  DESIGNATION, otherwise the entity or entities overwhelm the human being and he or she ended up losing the mind and in some cases mind and body (SUICIDE).

In the Scriptures, SPIRITUAL rather than PHYSICAL breakdown, and SPIRITUAL HEALING IN
TURN, are subjects of particular significance. Attention is called to the RESPONSIBILITY of natural
LEADERS in this matters. The Scripture says : "FROM the PROPHET even TO the PRIEST, EACH
one WAS ACTING FALSELY." at the same time MAKING A PRETENSE OF HEALING THE
BREAKDOWN OF GOD's PEOPLE. "PHYSICIANS OF NO VALUE."

PUMA, A LARGE CAT, the KING of the AMERICAS

PUMA also known as cougar, panther, or catamount, is a LARGE CAT of the family FELIDAE native to the AMERICA CONTINENT. Its range from the CANADIAN YUKON to the SOUTH-
ERN ANDES of SOUTH AMERICA, is the greatest of any wild terrestrial mammal in the WESTERN HEMISPHERE.

As ADAPTABLE, generalist species, the PUMA is found in MOST HABITAT TYPES.
It is the SECOND HEAVIEST CAT in the Western Hemisphere, after the JAGUAR (Panther family).
SOLITARY by nature and NOCTURNAL, is most CLOSELY RELATED TO smaller FELINES
and NEARER GENETICALLY TO THE DOMESTIC CAT.
An excellent STALK - and - AMBUSH PREDATOR.  It is TERRITORIAL and SURVIVES AT LOW POPULATION DENSITIES. I t is RECLUSIVE and usually avoids people.

The HUAYNA PICCHU (Young Mountain), the mountain located near MACHU PICCHU (Old
Mountain), is naturally shaped like a PUMA. Inka architects constructed small terraces high on the
summit to create the impression that the PUMA "s hair was standing up straight.

One of the most dramatic examples of the importance of the PUMA to INKA mythology can be found in the ancient CITY OF CUSCO.   In fact, the entire city was built in the shape of a massive reclining
PUMA, with the FORTRESS SAKSAYHUAMAN serving as the PUMA' s HEAD.

The name SAKSAYHUAMAN derives of the INKA language words "SAKSAY" (MARBLED)
and "UMA" (HEAD), which literally translates to "MARBLED HEAD."

The Square Cross. (Chakana) continue... part 2

The "SQUARE CROSS" form suggested by THIS PLAZA, in the "CITY of LIGHT of MACHU PICCHU" materializes in the following order according to its different spaces:
-   To the SOUTH, by what it is called the priest or priestess' enclosure.
-   To the EAST, by the "TEMPLE of the TRINE - FLAME," the TEMPLE of the THREE OPEN
    WINDOWS."
-   To the NORTH, by the Principle Temple and its ceremonial table open to the SOUTH direction as if
    receiving the SACRED MOUNTAIN OF MACHU PICCHU.
-   To the WEST, by the open space where another tower' s semicircular base is found.
All parts of this PLAZA suggest a correspondence with the 'THREE - LEVELED SYMBOL CROSS,
the ANDEAN CHAKANA." A symbol resulting from the most important constellation studied in SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE and therefore THE ANDES.
In a surprising way we find these symbols hidden and without transcendent significance to the quick eye of the visitor unfamiliar with ANDEAN icons.
In the COSMOS, the CROSS is compressed of FOUR MAIN STARS, each corresponding to the CARDINAL POINTS of the compass.
In front of the "TEMPLE OF THE THREE OPEN WINDOWS," there is a FLAT STONE with
THREE - LEVELED CARVINGS and ASCENDING PROGRESSION equally distributed to the right and left.
The ANDEAN PEOPLE believed THE WORLD WAS DIVIDED INTO THREE EXISTENTIAL PLANES, which they called "PACHAS," each "PACHA" representing its own dimension and capable of communicating with the "PACHA" next to it.
Each step within the CROSS (CHAKANA) represents a PLANE or DIMENSION of THE UNIVERSE. The equal armed CROSS denotes : the UPPER LEVEL (HANAN PACHA), the MIDDLE LEVEL (KAY PACHA), and LOWER LEVEL (UCKU PACHA). They indicate the cardinal points of the compass and a superimpose square. The HOLE,  through the CENTER of the cross,   is the AXIS,   by means of which the purified beings transits THE COSMIC VAULT to the

and Earth.

THE SQUARE CROSS - CHAKANA -

The SQUARE CROSS personifies THE CONSTELLATION believed by THE ANCIENT ANDEANS TO BE THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE. The SACRED PLAZA or PLAZA OF THE SUN is the representation of this center point in MACHU PICCHU.

The plaza has three enclosures with CARDINAL distribution, from them, two are more noteworthy :
- the "MAIN ALTAR" enclosure located at the NORTHERN END of the plaza with a perfect carved
  CEREMONIAL TABLE.
- the TEMPLE of the THREE WINDOWS (or Temple of the THREE OPEN WINDOWS," because
  in its EAST face, this enclosure actually has three open windows and two closed windows, which
  also form niches or altars.
We also have a third enclosure with very simple masonry located towards the SOUTH END of the
PLAZA that was used by a PRIEST or PRIESTESS to store ceremonial objects, or rest during some
moment of the day, or keep vigilance over the temple itself.
So far we have three enclosures of CARDINAL PLACEMENT; to complete the missing WESTERN
direction, we will use the OPEN SPACE where in its RIGHT ANGLE we find a SEMICIRCULAR
BASE that COINCIDE WITH THE STRUCTURE and FUNCTION of the TEMPLE of the SUN
(SOLAR TOWER). Observations of LIGHT and SHADOW at sunset were realized here.
This OPEN SPACE containing the SEMICIRCULAR BASE points along the HORIZON towards the
WILLKAMAYU RIVER, ending in the VILCABAMBA CORDILLERA, and perfected by the
"PUMASILLU" (the Puma's Claw) MOUNTAIN.
In this way the PLAZA defines the form of the "SQUARE CROSS," a studied symbol that represented
 the SOUTHERN CROSS CONSTELLATION.

The UPPER DIMENSION and last phase of THIS WORLD energetic order encompasses ALL THAT IS PERFECT through the HEIGHTS OF WIRACOCHA and corresponds to THE DIMENSION OF THE GODS, the INFINITE UNIVERSE and PATH OF THE SUN.

This WORLD is identified as "HANAN PACHA." Here in THE ANDES the APUS represent the LORDS OF "HANAN PACHA, " and at their altitudes DWELL GREAT SPIRITS, the TUTELAR
GUARDIANS for the TERRESTRIAL WORLD and all its inhabitants.

The "HANAN PACHA" is REPRESENTED by the KONDOR. This KONDOR is the personification of THE CELESTIAL LORD capable of PROSECUTING, TRANSMUTING, ELEVATING anything it finds in the mortal plane.

This "HANAN PACHA" world is THE HOUSE of the SACRED and THE KONDOR is WIRACOCHA' s representative.
MACHU PICCHU was DESIGNED IN THE SPIRITUAL DIMENSION, with the PURPOSE OF
ELEVATING every one of ITS INHABITANTS TO THE MOST SUBTLE PLANES OF PERCEPTION.
After the SACRED PUMA LEADS US TO THE REIGNS OF INNER CONTROL, the KONDOR
WILL APPEAR TO RECEIVE OUR SOULS AND TRANSFORM US INTO BEINGS OF AWAKENED CONSCIOUSNESS AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.

EACH YEAR in the "SACRED PLAZA" during the WINTER SOLSTICE, the BEGINNING OF THE NEW SOLAR YEAR IS CELEBRATED, and ACCOMPANYING this CELEBRATION,
MANIFESTATIONS of ASTRONOMICAL PHENOMENA serve as TESTIMONIES THAT
THIS WAS REAL IN ANCIENT TIMES.

Now we advance to the SECOND PLANE or DIMENSION, identifying THE MIDDLE WORLD,
the PRESENT WORLD, the WORLD OF THE LIVING where terrestrials reign.
Its name : "KAY PACHA," where MAN WILL LEARN THE TOIL OF LIFE, where he will fall into mental darkness and then be elevated until transforming into the level of light. This is the cycle of life.

According to the Inkas, "KAY PACHA"sl is GOVERNED BY the "PUMA" (SACRED TITI) and,  IT IS HIS TEACHINGS and EXPERIENCES that will LIFT US FROM the SERPEN' S limitations.
Once the SERPENT is elevated, the PUMA will appear IN PACHAMAMA' s path and with its
STABILITY WILL POSITION itself INSIDE OUR SOULS to take us TO THE PLACE WHERE THE FOUR WINDS REIGN, and from the HIGHEST PEAKS, waiting in that place for our moment of elevation, WILL BE someone to offer WINGS OF FREEDOM.

Because the PUMA (Sacred TITI) is the FELINE IN POWER (AMERICAN LION), the PUMA is taking the possession of its reign, and possesses a dynamic that makes it the FELINE that TRAVEL the MOST DURING THE COURSE OF A DAY.
The INKAS had to IMITATE the PUMA in order to WIN THEIR TERRITORY and CONTROL
their own BORDERS.
The PUMA' s qualities have been studied for a long time and the PUMA is FOUND IN extremely
varied HABITATS, from DEEP VALLEYS to snow capped MOUNTAINS over 4500 meters above sea-level.  Such varied climates and geographic conditions coincide with the PUMA' s life style and
anatomical structure, giving it an advantage over others of its kind.
The PUMA represents sagacity, ubiquity, expanded consciousness, control, strength, kindness,intuition,
etc., all qualities learned and practiced by the INKAS, enabling them orderly and respectfully to expand
their empire.

WIRACOCHA, "The Foam on the Sea"

The CENTRAL religious CONCEPT of the INKAS was that of THE CREATOR.
His best known name was that of WIRACOCHA meaning : "FOAM or FAT ON THE SEA."
His POWER to CREATE the EARTH  in the spiritual realm was considered A PRIESTLY POWER,
symbolized by FAT ON WATER, BOILING IN A POT.   Since FAT floats over the WATER, the same concept applied to the EARTH, that FLOATS ITSELF ON THE UNLIMITED WATERS SURROUNDING IT.
WIRACOCHA was the FIRST TO RISE, after the recurring floods, OUT OF THE WATER and TO
CREATE the WORLD, the SUN, MOON and STARS, the PLANTS and ANIMALS, and MANKIND, for this reason he was called PACHAYACHACHIC.
WIRACOCHA was the REAL INVISIBLE SUN, male and female, but HE ALSO LIVED ON the
SLOPES OF THE PYRAMID, making a tableaux of his POSITION IN THE COSMOS, and WAS
the DIRTY, LOW BASE (TICSI) OF THE WORLD and as such WAS PACHACAMAC (LORD
OF THE EARTH) originating the earthquakes in the interior of the earth.
WIRACOCHA was THE ONE INDIVISIBLE CREATIVE POWER OF WHICH ALL THE OTHER DEITIES WERE ONLY ASPECTS, represented as his sons and descendants.
These THREE EXISTENTIAL PLANES DEFINED THE WORLD, which they called "PACHAS."
Each "PACHA" representing its own dimension and capable of communicating with the "PACHA"
next to it.
Each one of these three existential planes had their own symbols.
The WORLD OF OUR SUBCONSCIOUS, the world of our DREAMS or VISIONARY REALITY.
Its name was "UCKU PACHA" and also that of PACHAMAMA, the ONE WHO TAKES OUR
DESTINIES, submerging us within her soul. Only SHE can REVEAL TO US the MYSTERIES of
OUR ORIGIN because SHE IS OUR MOTHER. She has been understood externally as THE WORLD OF THE DEAD, even punishment; but death as the end of existence was considered only a
hallucination, since the "BEING" was considered ETERNAL, molding itself to the garments loaned in each earthly experience. The SERPENT or "AMARU" is the REPRESENTATION OF THIS DIMENSIONAL PLANE. The "serpent" or "amaru" represented an animal capable of ascending in
a sacred order to divine realms. Similar to the touching of all the vital energetic centers of our body as a
microcosm, or centers of magnetic radiation that exist along our vertebral column, the same as the energetic or magnetic centers in the spiritual column in the macrocosm. This energy was believed to
move and displaced itself along the portals of the spiritual realm.  The priestly ones were trained to elevate this energetic or magnetic centers to the highest level in order to present the offerings to the Creator and receive the blessings of Peace and Harmony that came from above.               continue...

DID THE INKAS PERFORM HUMAN SACRIFICES?

The ANDEAN CULTURE has left us evidence of ITS GREATNESS, having constructed TO BENEFIT the very ESSENCE OF LIFE without wasting what NATURE has sown for us. It was a civilized society with accomplishments that are in AGREEMENT WITH NATURE.
The subject of HUMAN SACRIFICES as a practice to please the gods denotes the LACK OF UNDERSTANDING of the basic meaning of SPIRITUALITY, LACK OF RESPECT for NATURE, the PHILOSOPHICAL LIMITATION of the culture, and their BACKWARDNESS and CONTRADICTION BEFORE MATERIAL and MENTAL REALITY.
"SACRED SERVICE" means "TO SERVE" or "TO PERFORM LABOR" as in cultivating the ground. In a spiritual context, when we serve to cultivate the ground means we do the best that we can to plant the seeds of goodness in everything we do. As a reward, PEACE and HAPPINESS come to us. But when the misunderstanding of the term "TO SERVE" goes to the hand of the evil forces, then,
everything change, and it is used with reference to "service rendered to a deity", implying false worshiping, rendering service to created things instead of THE CREATOR.
To serve and protect the NATURE we are complementing the work of our Creator in spirit, on account of our special COVENANT relationship to HIM. As the wife complement the husband all the  days of their lives.
If the act of sacrificing an individual assumed that peace of a community will follow, that crops would
flourish and hunger would end, that rains would be sufficient to fertilize the earth, that an earthquake would not cause destruction, that a volcano would not erupt, MAY THE GODS HAVE PITY OF THESE MORTALS!
There is no logical purpose or scientific evidence that the ANDEAN SOCIETY perpetuated human
sacrifices as a method of beseeching god to receive his protection. In fact, great scientific evidence attests to the contrary. One must commit a sin of ingenuousness to believe that killing someone could influence THE ECOLOGICAL RHYTHM OF THE CLIMATE OR THE NATURAL ORDER OF
NATURE.

THE CEREMONIAL AND OFFERING TABLE OF THE INKAS

MACHU PICCHU, the spiritual CENTER capable of filling the SPIRITS of all who humbly surrender
to the magnificent and perfect work of CREATION. This virtue of respect is evident from the very moment we arrive at this CITY. Arriving at the SACRED CITY along the INKA TRAIL allows us to enter through its upper section where various TERRACES are found, and ABOVE them a STRUCTURE similar to A HOUSE; since it HAS ONLY THREE WALLS it received the name
"HUAYRANA," and because of its location it served, among other functions, as an observation site,
point of control, and place of meeting and rest.
NEXT to this construction EXISTS a CEREMONIAL TABLE known as a PLACE OF PERSONAL
and COMMUNITY OFFERINGS. This STRUCTURE 's CEREMONIAL ROCK also HAS ASTRONOMICAL FUNCTIONS. To decode it we need to be closely tied to ANDEAN ABSTRACT SYMBOLISM and ART. Pursuing exact calculations of the LIGHT' s PORTAL and the SHADOW in search of concrete conclusions is like reading a book  in the dark under the instantaneous
illumination of a match. Without the help or contrast of other perspectives and intuitive ingredients, the
interpretation of all of these places would be merely an imaginary metaphor.
In 1974, many excavations were realized in the area around THE CEREMONIAL ROCK or TABLE;
the results coincided with the fact that neither THE ROCK nor its immediate surroundings served as a cemetery, but rather a DEFINITE PLACE OF OFFERINGS.
Up to this point, all is well, but complexities arise when academic science treats as a reliable reference the inexact information assembled by spanish chronicles who documented A HISTORY OF A CIVILIZATION they never understood and perhaps never will understand - THE ANDEAN SOCIETY -

THE TWILIGHT OF THE GODS

Nearly all the myths tell of the ENDING OF THE RULE OF THE GODS. Between the gods were not always fair and it was their treachery in BETRAYING THEIR WORD that eventually brought about their downfall.  This is how it came about.
The beautiful LAND (in the sense of the SPIRITUAL plane) in which all the GOOD SPIRITS lived was PROTECTED BY A SERIES OF IMPREGNABLE WALLS (energy forces) which had been BUILT BY A GIANT (an earthly force) who demanded AS PAYMENT the MARRIAGE  between him and the DAUGHTER OF AN IMPORTANT CELESTIAL FORCE.
The GODS PROMISED the GIANT that he would MARRY HER when the WALLS were finished.
They DIDN'T KEEP THEIR WORD.
The SPIRIT OF SRIFE began to BREAK OUT ALL OVER THE WORLD and IN ALL the LOWER REGIONS, the SPIRIT OF TREACHERY and MALICE TOOK OVER.
The SPIRIT OF HAPPINESS AND PEACE WAS BETRAYED BY THE SPIRIT OF MALICE, and wherever he went, HE BEGAN TO BE TROUBLED by STRANGE DREAMS.
He ASKED FOR HELP and the GODS AGREED TO PROTECT HIM. The gods made every SPIRIT IN EARTH PROMISE never to betray or harm the spirit of HAPPINESS and PEACE. All agreed - the animals, plants and men -  except one young SPIRIT belonging to plants' kingdom which was too young to take an oath. Only the spirit of MALICE knew it.
One day, when the gods were rejoicing themselves TESTING THE INVINCIBILITY of the SPIRIT OF HAPPINESS, the spirit of MALICE COLLECTED A BRANCH OF the plant who didn't take the oath and PERSUADED  a blinded god to THROW THE BRANCH OVER THE SPIRIT OF HAPPINESS and PEACE. This BRANCH PIERCED the spirit of HAPPINESS and PEACE TO THE HEART and KILLED HIM.
This ENRAGED THE GODS and, KNOWING IT WAS MALICE that had caused this thing to happen, THEY CHAINED IT UP.                                                                    continue...

INKAS DIDN'T LEAVE ANY SCRIPT.

The INKAS and the other Peruvian people did not leave us ANY CODICES - historical, astronomical
or religious - or any dated monuments. Nor did they have ANY SCRIPT of a hiero-graphical kind, which could have been deciphered.

This situation hangs together with the fact that the Peruvians, whose political development was so advanced, were very conscious of the DEEPER ABSTRACT IDEAS underlying their social and
political organization, its religious justification and its functioning through time, but WERE LESS
WORRIED ABOUT OF AN ARTICULATED ICONOGRAPHIC LANGUAGE SYSTEM.

The INKAS of ancient Peru KEPT RECORDS MATHEMATICALLY  on QUIPUS. They were devises made of cords whose LENGTH, THICKNESS, COLOUR, and KNOTS denoted different values. Knots of natural - colored cord represented numbers : single knots for tens, double for hundreds, and triple for thousands.
QUIPUS were also used to TRANSMIT MESSAGES, WHICH WERE CODED INTO NUMBERS.

As imperial organizers, these WARRIOR PEOPLE took over a series of ancient cultures and reshaped
the roads, religion, and government they inherited.
The INKA excelled at engineering. The mathematical structure of their minds made them built roads
3, 250 miles (5, 200 kilometers) long, piped irrigation water through mountain tunnels, hung suspension bridges across Andean canyons.

The INKA also created a rigid caste system. From one end of the Andes to the other, the empire ran
FACTORIES for making all the cloths, ceramics and gold ornaments required for ceremonial use and for the nobility. The Inka also exacted tribute from everybody they conquered, keeping track of their
accounts by the QUIPU.

In this Peruvian society everyone knew his place.

TIAHUANAKU, ONE OF THE TOP TEN MYSTERIES ON EARTH

TIAHUANAKU  may have existed during the vastly older time of the last ICE , some 15, 000 to
20, 000 years ago. They probably were a surviving fragment of a long lost Kingdom. They explored
and precisely mapped the then ICE-FREE CONTINENT of ANTARCTICA thousands of years before Europeans first sighted it in 1818.
There is also evidence that architectural structures exist at the bottom of LAKE TITICACA, suggest-
ing that the kingdom existed before the LAKE was formed. The LAKE was formed during a great
FLOOD.
Some theory says that an enormous chunk of ROCK was spun off from the planet JUPITER and that it rampaged as a COMET through THE INNER SOLAR SYSTEM, nearly colliding with the EARTH and causing CATASTROPHES spoken about in numerous ancient mythologies.
The USE OF THE STRUCTURES OF THE CITADEL AND THE ASTRONOMICAL ALIGMENTS that they have with CELESTIAL BODIES indicate a construction period far more ancient than any other monumental archaeological site in all the world. This fact in a pre-flood time proved that a cataclysmic did indeed occur some 12, 000 years ago. The utensils, tools, fragments of human skeletons that are mixed in with the deepest layers of the FLOOD alluvia indicate the human use of the citadel prior to the great FLOOD. The sculptural and iconographic details are unique and mysterious making the region one of the top ten mysterious places on EARTH.
TIAHUANAKU was the TRUE SACRED CENTER OF THE ANDEAN REGION. An earlier name of the structures was TAIPICALA, meaning "THE ROCK IN THE CENTER."
TIAHUANAKU was the SOURCE OF THE CREATION MYTHS, THE SOCIAL ORDER, and
the extraordinary DEVELOPMENT OF ASTRONOMY. The legendary hero / savior WIRACOCHA
RE-SEEDED THE CIVILIZATION into the ANDEAN REGIONS following the cataclysm.
According to the legend, the world was created by Wiracocha near Lake Titicaca. After the great deluge or the receding of chaotic floodwaters Wiracocha descended to earth and created plants, animals'
and men to the empty land; he built the CITY OF TIAHUANAKU and appointed 4 rulers of whom
MANCO CAPAC became the superior of the MIDDLE WORLD.

TIAHUANACO, GATEWAY TO THE GODS.

While cultures like Mesopotamia (Irak), Egypt or Iran can be traced back to 4, 000 B.C., the mysterious ruins of TIAHUANACO, in BOLIVIA, could be 14, 000 years old!
TIAHUANACO is located on the Southern shore of LAKE TITICACA. In the past, the lake was much higher and its shores lapped Tiahuanaco.
This kingdom thrived at an elevation of 13, 000 feet (3, 940 meters) above the sea level. They manage to move stones weighing up to 200 tons (2, 000 kilograms) and invented modular building techniques.
The region was believed to have been populated by about 100, 000 people at its peak, based on the amount of pottery and other artifacts and the total land area (more than 400 acres). Multiple grid and maze like structures were a network of gardens and canals, capable of growing potatoes and other crops

The most famous site at TIAHUANACO is THE SUN GATE. This structure has been described as a
"CALENDAR," thus the SUN GATE has also been called "THE CALENDAR GATE."
This calendar sculpture depicts a "SOLAR YEAR," it cannot however be made to fit into the solar year as we divide it at present. The calendar has only 290 days, divided into twelve groups of 24 days each,
plus 2 intercalary days.
The ancient Tiahuanacan people knew that the earth was a globe which rotated on its axis and they calculated exactly the times of ECLIPSES - even those not visible at TIAHUANACO but visible in
the opposite hemisphere. Extraterrestrial connections were first suggested and have been perpetuated by discoveries of the apparent advanced knowledge that Tiahuanacan engineers seemed to possess - thousands of years ahead of other kingdoms. Tiahuanacans also divided the circle mathematically into
264 degrees (rather than 360 as was indicated by the Babylonians); they determined the correct ratio of pi (22/7), and they could calculate squares (also square roots).

The fact that the kingdom of TIAHUANACO appeared fully developed in this high altitude, arid and inhospitable land is a matter of discussion. Almost immediately they seem to have used advanced build-
ing techniques. Huge blocks were carved from single STONES and designed to fit together on the site
with exact precision and artistic style. The massive blocks are extremely stable, resisting both time and earthquakes.

THE INKAS, A REMARKABLE EMPIRE.

Not other empire in history had to conquer some of the world's most forbidding terrain : the towering mountains and desert coast of ANDEAN PERU.
THE EMPIRE OF THE INKA, RULED FROM A CAPITAL at 11, 203 feet (3, 395 meters),  above the sea level,  IN THE CLOUDS. It expanded from a small kingdom BASED ON THE CITY OF CUSCO to a HUGE EMPIRE including much of present-day ECUADOR and stretching southwards
through PERU to central CHILE.
It was a remarkable WELL - ORGANIZED SOCIETY, RULED BY AN EMPEROR, the INKA, who was regarded as a god, and ADMINISTERED BY A STATE CIVIL SERVICE.
A single king ruled, and the same gods were worshipped throughout AN EMPIRE OF EXTRAORDINARY DIVERSITY IN CLIMATE AND LANDSCAPE - ranging from the rainless,
hot desert of northern CHILE to the tropical wet lowlands of coastal ECUADOR, from the fertile
basins of PERU to the barren highlands of BOLIVIA.

The INKA capacity for social and economic planning was matched by engineering skill. No matter how forbidding the landscape, the INKAS overcame it.
Across the DESERT COAST IN THE WEST and BETWEEN the snow-swept heights of THE ANDES IN THE EAST ran the roads which knit the empire together, spanning DEEP GORGES and RAVINES ON SUSPENSION BRIDGES, and CROSSING BROAD RIVERS ON PONTOONS made of rafts lashed together.
Strongly built FORTS of well-cut stone PERCHED ON HIGHLAND RIDGES; and everywhere in the HIGH ANDES,  land FARMING WAS EXTENDED BY TERRACES constructed at dizzy angles.
It was the INKA achievement to create a POLITICAL UNITY in defiance of geography, and even in
defiance of history, for the tribes they nations they conquered were forced into the INKA pattern.
But earlier peoples living in the ANDES area before the INKAS prepared the ground for them.

DREAMING : what it really meant for the people of the INKA EMPIRE

DREAMS, the THOUGHTS or MENTAL IMAGES a person has while asleep.
Many myths are still performed across local inhabitants of the Andean Mountains Range. It serves as an important social function among their intended audiences : - justifying the received orders of their daily lives, - helping shape peoples' ideas, - and assisting to influence others' behavior.

They believe that the LAW is something DERIVED from ANCESTRAL PEOPLES or through the DREAMING PROCESS, and is passed down to generations in a continuous DIRECT LINE.

While entitlements of particular human beings may come and go, the underlying RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FOUNDATIONAL DREAMS AND CERTAIN LANDSCAPES ARE ETERNAL.
The entitlements of people to places are regarded to be strongest when they enjoy a relationship of identity with one or more dreams of that place. This is an IDENTITY OF THE SPIRIT, rather than a matter of mere belief. For them the dreams pre-exists and persists, while its human incarnations are temporary.

They learned from their stories that a society must not be human-centered but rather LAND CENTERED, otherwise they forget their SOURCE and PURPOSE.
Humans are prone to exploitative behavior. They need to be constantly reminded that THEY ARE
INTERCONNECTED WITH THE REST OF THE CREATION. Also, they, AS INDIVIDUALS ARE ONLY TEMPORAL IN TIME, and past and future generations must be included in their PERCEPTION OF THEIR PURPOSE IN LIFE.
People come and go but the LAND, and stories about the land, STAY. This is a wisdom that takes lifetimes of listening, observing and experiencing. It is a deep UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN NATURE and THE ENVIRONMENT.
Sacred places hold "feelings" which cannot be described in physical terms. They are subtle feelings that resonate through our bodies. It is only when we talk and be among these people that these "feelings" can truly be appreciated. This is the INTANGIBLE REALITY of these sacred places and its people.

Who founded the CHIMU CULTURE (Kingdom contemporary to the INKAS)

NAY LAMP  a legendary warrior arrived to SAN JOSE's beaches IN LAMBAYEQUE, PERU. He was a part of a great fleets of rafts bringing with them a great number of warriors from distant lands. They were able to subordinate THE MOCHICA NATION that was in decadence of whom they adopted their customs. This culture was contemporary to the INKA culture, and they reached as territorial domain the WHOLE NORTH COAST, from TUMBES to the FORTRESS of PARAMONGA in LIMA.
They rejected the INKA domain permanently, with bloody battles, and they were conquered partially.
The great CHIMU NATION had for characteristics an autocrat organization. They were builders of big cities; their biggest CULTURAL CENTER was CHAN CHAN's CITADEL. They also had constructions of high development on the VALLEYS OF LAMBAYEQUE.

The CHIMU KINGDOM, of which CHAN CHAN (SUN SUN) was the capital, reached its peak long before falling under the INKAS.
The planning of this huge city, THE BIGGEST IN ANCIENT AMERICA, reflects a strict political and social strategy, marked by its divisions into NINE "CITADELS" OR "PALACES" forming independent units.
CHAN CHAN, city made of mud, considered as the biggest in America is also ONE OF THE BIGGEST OF THE WORLD. Its importance is only comparable to the old cities of Egypt, Mesopo-
tamia, India, China, or Teotihuacan in Mexico.
It occupies an area of 15 square kilometers where exist PALACES, TEMPLES, SQUARE PONDS,
GARDENS, AQUEDUCTS, and LABYRINTHS. Its walls are ornamented with beautiful and stylized carved drawings of fish, pelicans, rhombuses, foxes, etc.
In the time of its maximum splendor it is calculated that its population was above 100,000 inhabitants, with all the services and excellent urban line.
The city is subdivided in rectangular sectors from 200 to 400 meters length, with walls of trapezoidal
shape that reach up to 12 meters height and with roads among the walls. The central part, called GREAT CHIMU PALACE is the more advisable place to start your visit, as well as the HUACA
"EL DRAGON."

Andean Religion continue...

NASCA excelled mostly in its TEXTILES and in a very stylish non-realistic POTTERY making use of many different COLORS. Nasca art expressed its RELIGION in a very RIGOROUS SYSTEM,
which, on one hand, makes it more easily to discern than the MOCHE religious system, but on the other hand, more difficult to relate to NASCA CULTURE, its social organization and everyday life.
After the domination of HUARI, during which art was almost identical to that in Huari itself,  VERY DIFFERENT STYLE AROSE, known by the name of THE VALLEY OF ICA, which was GEOMETRIC and devoid of symbolic meaning giving hardly any help in understanding the religion.

TIAHUANCO art in POTTERY and in round and relief STONE SCULPTURE in general had been
very GEOMETRIC and, like NASCA, very formal. Huari art preserved these traits although less stylish. This direct expression of an ABSTRACT RELIGION model, TIAHUANACO HAD IN COMMON with the art of CHAVIN culture.
During the FIRST MILLENNIUM BEFORE JESUS CHRIST,  CHAVIN had INFLUENCED the greater part of PERU from the Northern Highlands. Nasca contacts with the Mountains seem to have been very strong in terms of its abstract BELIEFS.
Although Chavin art superficially is rather different from that of Tiahuanaco, it expressed the RELIGIOUS SYSTEM also mostly IN STONE (specially in its CEREMONIAL CENTRE known today as CHAVIN de HUANTAR). Chavin art influenced very much the artistic CENTRE of PARACAS on the South Coast, from which IN its TURN NASCA art is DERIVED.

The FACT that ancient Peruvians, whose political development was so advanced and at the same time the very CONSCIOUSNESS of the DEEPER ABSTRACT IDEAS underlaying their SOCIAL and
POLITICAL ORGANIZATION and its RELIGIOUS JUSTIFICATION and ITS FUNCTIONING
THROUGH TIME,  DID NOT LEAVE US ANY CODICES, NOR ANY SCRIPT OF A HIERO-GRAFICAL kind. They were less worried about in its expression of concepts on an intermediate level.

ANDEAN RELIGION

Here we are thinking about those peoples conquered by THE INKAS from Ecuador in the North, over Peru and Bolivia at the center, to Northern Argentine and Chile in the South.
In the search for gold the Spaniards killed many andean people, specially the priests who could have been good informants. Because of the centralized nature of the INKA STATE, the Spaniards were mostly interested in the capital city CUSCO in southern Peru, rather than the rest of the cultures dominated by the Inka State.
The expansion of the EMPIRE on the Andean scene initiated some hundred years before the Spaniards
came to the continent, whereas the other cultures conquered were the descendants of Kingdoms and Empires with highly sophisticated RELIGIOUS systems and arts.
In the MOUNTAINS to the SOUTH-EAST of CUSCO, around LAKE TITICACA, originated THE
CULTURE TIAHUANACO. It flourished around 600 AD and later ITS RELIGION INFLUENCED
most of BOLIVIA and PERU deeply, by its WAY OF COMMERCE, CONQUEST and PRESTIGE.
Later, around 700AD, another CENTRE HUARI, to the WEST of CUSCO, near modern Ayacucho,
started to INFLUENCED MOST of the MIDDLE PERU. Its ORIGINAL LINKS were to the CULTURES of the SOUTH PERUVIAN COAST, especially that of THE VALLEY OF NASCA, but soon it became HEAVILY INFLUENCED BY TIAHUANACO. Tiahuanco and, specially Huari,
INFLUENCED ON THE PEOPLES THEY CONQUERED. It  meant a very RADICAL social upheaval and a complete break in their arts. This is best noticeable in the more IMPORTANT CULTURES FROM THE PERUVIAN COAST : MOCHE to the North and NASCA to the South.
MOCHE had used in its art as a symbolic expression of its BELIEFS a very realistic language in which
FIGURES and MOTIVES were MODELED or DRAWN on a flat surface, MOSTLY in TWO COLORS BLACK or BROWN on WHITE or CREAM, where GODS and MYTHICAL BEINGS
are REPRESENTED. After the absorption of this culture by the HUARI, the pottery changed to BLACK, which made it impossible to paint on it scenes of everyday life and of religious ideas. The culture of THIS PERIOD is best KNOWN as that of THE KINGDOM OF CHIMU and continued into INKA TIMES and even into early Spanish times.                                                continue...

WIRACOCHA continue...

FROM the UPPER and the SECOND planes or worlds,  the world UKU PACHA WAS CLOSED,  and A SPRING SEALED THE COMMUNICATION between the planes. In order that MEN COULD PENETRATE  the spring FROM THE SECOND PLANE or world,  a designated soul had to come VIA THE BIRTH OF THE INKAN EMPEROR.
The founders of this EMPIRE were MANCO CAPAC  and MAMA OCLLO. THROUGH THEM at the top, one could be directed to the Upper World in order to communicate with the gods.

Just like the Chibchas with BOCHICA, the Aztecs with HUITZILOPCHTL, the Quinches with Hun-
Apu-Vuch, the Quechuas of the INKA Empire had a Sun God on the first rank of the celestial ladder.
His sacred name was INTI. Although, later, this god evolved into more complex and universal personality giving passage to IRA-COCHA, an abbreviation of the complete name APU-KON-TIKI-
WIRACOCHA.
This new and much more POWERFUL SUN GOD wasn't alone in his reign. He was ACCOMPA-
NIED by his wife and sister. THE MOON accompanied him in EQUAL RANK in the HEAVENLY COURT under the name of KILLA.
The Sun God was REPRESENTED AS AN ELLIPSE OF GOLD, which COULD also RADIATE
RAYS AS A MANIFESTATION OF HIS POWER. He was ADORED and REVERED, but also
SOUGHT OUT FOR HIS FAVOUR and HIS HELP in resolving problems. Therefore, only the Sun could make the HARVEST RIPE, CURE SICKNESS, and GIVE SHELTER to the human.
The Moon was REPRESENTED AS A DISC OF SILVER. Naturally, the goddess QUILLA was
assigned to DIRECT the RELIGIOUS FERVOR OF WOMEN. The WOMEN FORMED the NUCLEUS OF the god's FAITHFUL FOLLOWERS. Therefore, NO BETTER THAN THE GODDESS QUILLA COULD UNDERSTAND HIS DESIRES and FEARS and GIVE HELP.

WHO IS WIRACOCHA?

IN THE BEGINNING :   A long time ago, the nameless GOD REFLECTED and THOUGHT  he SHOULD CREATE a WORLD. HE HAD EARTH, WATER,  and FIRE and this was enough to form anything he wishes to create.
So HE CREATED  the WORLD WITH THREE PLANES that composed A UNIQUE UNIVERSE.

IN the UPPER PLANE OR FIRST WORLD, named JANAN PACHA, he put the GODS  which shown brilliantly as the Sun and Moon, the Stars, the Comets, and all that shines from above in the heavens. BETWEEN the UPPER PLANE and the MIDDLE PLANE were the GODS of Thunder, Lightning,  Rainbows, and all phenomena that have no further explanation than what the gods wanted to know.
IN the SECOND PLANE OR SECOND WORLD, named KAY PACHA, the God of Creation put
the HUMANS, Animals, Plants, and all that lives, including SPIRITS.
IN the THIRD PLANE, the INNER WORLD, named UKU PACHA, were CLOSED SPACES reserved FOR the DEAD.

The THREE PLANES OR WORLDS INTERACTED, but THERE WERE some very special PORTALS or GATES, AVENUES and ROADS that gave access FROM ONE TO ANOTHER.
The son of the Sun, the INKA named INTI CHURIN, could access the Upper Plane. The interior or Inner World could be accessed from the Middle Plane through all natural conduits that open from the
interior to the exterior, conduits from which Water Springs forth from the Earth, such as Springs, Caves, Fissures, and Volcanos. These were the means of transportation to gain access between Worlds
for the Humans, for the seeds that bore Animals, and for the seeds that gave life to all Plants that grew
in the Second Plane or second world.

THE MOTHER MOON OF THE INKAS (MAMA QUILLA)

MAMA QUILLA,  was the GODDESS OF THE MOON, MARRIAGES,  FEASTS,  and THE PROTECTOR OF WOMEN.
She was THE DAUGHTER OF WIRACOCHA, THE CREATOR GOD, and MAMA COHA,
THE MOTHER SEA. She was the SISTER to and WIFE OF INTI, THE SUN GOD.
Her CHILDREN were MANCO CAPAC and MAMA OCLLO, WHO WERE SENT TO THE SHORES of LAKE TITICACA to TEACH THE PEOPLE and ESTABLISH LAWS.
They are KNOWN AS THE MYTHICAL FOUNDERS OF THE INKA EMPIRE.
Also MAMA QUILLA, in later myths, she BECAME MOTHER OF PACHA CAMAC, THE
EARTH-MAKER.  His WIFE was the popular GODDESS, PACHA MAMA (very important for the people who lived in the Andes Mountains), EARTH-MOTHER, WHO PROTECTED CROPS and CAUSED EARTHQUAKES.
MAMA QUILLA, the goddess of the Moon, WAS THE THIRD MOST POWERFUL GOD of the INKAS. Their EMPIRE EXPANDED ALL ALONG the ANDES MOUNTAIN RANGE, and as OTHER NATIONS WERE CONQUERED, THEIR GODS AND GODDESSES WERE INCLUDING AND COMBINED WITH the INKA's patrons.
The INKAS were very afraid of LUNAR ECLIPSES (it happens when the Earth blocks out the Sun's
light shining on the Moon), since they BELIEVED that they were CAUSED BY A WILD ANIMAL's
SPIRIT (possibly a mountain lion, serpent, or puma) ATTACKING MAMA QUILLA.   During the
eclipses, they would try to scare away the animal's spirit by throwing weapons, waving their arms, and shouting. They BELIEVED that IF THE ANIMAL's SPIRIT SUCCEEDED, the WORLD WOULD BE IN DARKNESS.
THE INKA'S CALENDAR calculated the TIME by USING the PHASES OF THE MOON : FROM
a FULL MOON TO A NEW ONE and back again. The CALENDAR MARKED OUT WHEN THEIR RITUALS and FESTIVALS took PLACE. Each month of the calendar had a marked festival.
If we look at the Moon we can see dark spots. According to the INKAS, these were formed when a Fox who fell in love with Mama Quilla went to visit her, and she squeezed the creature against her.
During RELIGIOUS CEREMONIES, the Andean People WORE GOLDEN MASKS.
The mask representing Mama Quilla has her face like a Full Moon, which symbolized beauty. It also has tears coming from her eyes. The INKAS believed that the silver they found was the tears of the goddess, which fell to the Earth.

WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT LOST CIVILIZATIONS

The philosopher PLATO, in a very limited way, REFERS TO THE EXISTENCE OF A LOST CONTINENT that was LOCATED IN THE ATLANTIC OCEAN and INHABITED BY MEN OF GREATNESS.  This REFERENCE TRAVELS BACK IN TIME  to TEN or TWELVE THOUSAND YEARS before CHRISTIAN ERA.
Additionally, THERE ARE other STORIES that SPEAK OF another LOST CONTINENT called LEMUR and THE ANDEAN CULTURE linked together. Who can explain exactly what happened TWELVE THOUSAND YEARS AGO where the spiritual and the real world were interconnected in a WAY that PEOPLE KNEW when THE GATES BECAME VISIBLE and BLESSING or CURSE  RESULTED FROM THEIR OWN ACTIONS TOWARDS THE FORCES OF NATURE.
Some prefer not to enter a discussion of SUCH DELICATE MENTAL and ROMANTIC THEMES.
Some say that FOREIGNERS CONSTRUCTED THE SACRED CITY OF MACHU PICCHU. For the minds of people who have never been to geographic regions like the one in which Machu Picchu is situated, probably the best explanation for them is that foreigners constructed it.
MACHU PICCHU is situated IN A REGION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE JUNGLE, and this NATURAL PORTAL, because of ITS ALTITUDE, TEMPERATURE, and GEOGRAPHY allowed
the TRANSFORMATION and EVOLUTION of a surprising VARIETY of FLORA and FAUNA that, taking the flora along we see that its growth is rugged and continuous. This implies that if we were
to visit a CERTAIN PART OF THE CITY TODAY, and for some reason we had motives to RETURN TO THE SAME SPOT THE FOLLOWING YEAR, if THERE WERE NOT A SANITATION AND URBAN MAINTENANCE SYSTEM, during the following year WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO FIND THE SAME PLACE WE SAW THE YEAR BEFORE.
The place would be lost to our sight because it would BE COVERED WITH VEGETATION.
 If it is UNTOUCHED FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, we probably would FIND A TREE.
Sufficient time for some areas of MACHU PICCHU to have TURNED INTO FOREST INTEGRA-
ED WITH THE MOUNTAINS.

THE FEMININE FORCE IN THE INKAN EMPIRE

WOMAN always represented the EARTH (in a spiritual way it is where the emotions are), and there lies her divine value since it fell into her hands to be the creator of man's great advances.
SHE was who DISCOVERED AGRICULTURE AND ITS ORDER when MEN were required to travel great distances from their homes TO HUNT and look for food.
SHE DISCOVERED the VIRTUES OF THE EARTH after observing repeatedly that seeds from the fruit they ate could reproduce; she began to sow, and as a result, THE BEGINNING OF AGRICULTURE EMERGED. The WOMAN WAS THE EARTHLY GODDESS, THE ONE IN CONTROL, and THE ONE MAKING DECISIONS, since SHE POSSESSED KNOWLEDGE OF NATURE's MYSTERIES.
Roles had been reversed and today it is man who controls the external part of this world.
The WOMAN complemented in the ordinance of the empire, but it was the man who performed the deeds because they possessed the physical strength given to them by nature.
The withdrawal of MACHU PICCHU's inhabitants were slow. Little by little they died, but at the end more WOMEN remained than men, and there they died; but not completely because as they retired, they left in charge of the city the vegetation and animals that had already begun to show the power of their own kingdoms.
Thirty six years of wars was sufficient time for the vegetation, after having been left unattended by the INKAS, to grow, gradually covering structures situated closest to the cliffs. In this way MACHU PICCHU disappeared from a time only to RETURN TRIUMPHANTLY AT THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ANDEAN ERA, the ERA OF THIS CENTURY.

PACHAKUTEK, LORD OF THE WORLD.

The INKA PACHAKUTEK WAS THE PRINCIPAL BUILDER OF THE CITY OF MACHU
PICCHU. IT WAS A SATELLITE CITY BELONGING TO THE ANDEAN SOCIETY. The architectural style was revealed by its prefection and order, labeling it "IMPERIAL EPOCH."
PACHAKUTEK INKA YUPANKI WAS the NINTH INKA of the KINGDOM OF CUSCO, which
HE TRANSFORMED INTO THE EMPIRE TAWANTINSUYU, or THE INKA EMPIRE.
In Quechua, PACHAKUTEK means "HE WHO SHAKES THE EARTH," and YUPANKI means
"HONOR."
During his reign, CUSCO GREW INTO AN EMPIRE, and eventually OVERTAKE the CHIMU.
He began an ERA OF CONQUEST than, WITHIN THREE GENERATIONS, EXPANDED THE
INKA DOMINION FROM THE VALLEY OF CUSCO TO NEARLY THE WHOLE OF WEST-
ERN SOUTH AMERICA.
Due to the REMARKABLE EXPANSION OF THE TERRITORy, HE WAS CONSIDERED AN EXCEPTIONAL LEADER.
Besides being A CONQUERING WARRIOR and EMPEROR,  HE WAS ALSO A GREAT
ADMINISTRATOR,  PLANNER,  PHILOSOPHER,  OBSERVER OF HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY
and CHARISMATIC GENERAL.

THE KURAKAS, MESSENGERS BETWEEN WORLDS

The KURAKA was an OFFICIAL OF THE INKA EMPIRE, who held the role of MAGISTRATE,
about 4 levels down from the INKA, the HEAD OF THE EMPIRE.
KURAKA means "SUPERIOR"  or  "PRINCIPAL" and his authority was granted by the INKA.
The KURAKAS WERE THE HEADS OF THE AYLLUS (clan-like family units). Each AYLLU actually has 4 KURAKAS: UPPER and LOWER (HANAN and HURIN), each of these had an assistant. However, of the 4, ONE KURAKA was still superior to the rest.
The KURAKA SERVED as TAX COLLECTOR, and HELD RELIGIOUS AUTHORITY, in that
THEY MEDIATED BETWEEN THE SUPERNATURAL SPHERE and THE MORTAL REALM.
THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE for making sure THE SPIRIT WORLD BLESSED THE MORTAL ONE WITH PROSPERITY, and WERE HELD ACCOUNTABLE should DISASTER STRIKE, such a drought.
KURAKAS  enjoyed privileges such as being exempt from taxation and the right to polygamy. They also has the right to ride in the gold carriages.
KURAKAS do not hesitate to RECOGNIZE the INKA PACHAKUTEK AS THE PRINCIPAL BUILDER OF THE WHOLE EMPIRE, his EXCEPTIONAL SKILLS and IDENTIFY him as "SON OF THE SUN."

FLOOD STORY ( based on an Inkan Myth)

At ONE TIME,  PEOPLE became very evil. They were so busy DOING EVIL DEEDS that  THEY NEGLECTED THE GODS.  Only THOSE IN THE HIGH ANDES MOUNTAINS WERE HONEST AND TRUE.
One day, TWO BROTHERS WHO LIVED IN THE HIGH ANDES MOUNTAINS NOTICED their LLAMAS WERE ACTING STRANGELY.  They ASKED the LLAMAS WHY they were STARING UP AT THE SKY.  The LLAMAS ANSWERED THAT THEY WERE TOLD BY THE STARS THAT A GREAT FLOOD WAS COMING.   The BROTHERS BELIEVED THE LLAMAS.  THEY MOVED THEIR FAMILIES AND FLOCKS INTO A CAVE THEY FOUND
ON THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN.
It began to rain. The RAIN continued FOR FOUR MONTHS and FOUR DAYS. At last the RAIN
STOPPED. The WATER RECEDED.  The BROTHERS AND THEIR FAMILIES REPOPULATED THE EARTH.
The LLAMAS WERE MOST GRATEFUL TO THE STARS FOR WARNING THEM ABOUT
THE FLOOD.  THAT IS WHY LLAMAS PREFER TO LIVE ON THE MOUNTAIN TOPS,
SAFE FROM FLOODS, and NEAR THEIR FRIENDS,  THE STARS.

DID YOU KNOW THAT LLAMAS ARE THE CAMELS' cousins?

The LLAMA is a MEMBER of the CAMELID FAMILY.  CAMELIDS ORIGINATED IN NORTH
AMERICA around 45 million years ago.
Animals that MIGRATED NORTH over THE BERING LAND BRIDGE wandered into ASIA and
NORTH AFRICA and DEVELOPED INTO THE ONE-HUMPED DROMEDARY and THE
SHORTER-LEGGED, TWO-HUMPED BACTRIAN,  DESERT CAMELS familiar to us today.
The CAMELIDS that STAYED IN THE AMERICAS and MIGRATED SOUTH BECAME LLAMAS,  ALPACAS,  GUANACOS,  and VICUNAS.
The LLAMA REMAINS, as it has been for thousands of years, an ESSENTIAL and VALUABLE
ANIMAL FOR PEOPLE LIVING AMONG THE PEAKS OF THE ANDES.
The LLAMA PROVIDES an EVER-READY SOURCE OF FOOD,  FIBER,  FUEL,   and
MOUNTAIN TRANSPORT.
If you ever meet a LLAMA, be sure and follow this simple rule of LLAMA ETIQUETTE  - DO NOT
STARE AT HIM - otherwise the LLAMA might spit in your face for being so rude!  Peek at a LLAMA out of the corner of your eye.
The LLAMA IS ABOUT FOUR FEET TALL and FOUR FEET LONG and CAN WEIGH 300
POUNDS.
They CAN TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES WITHOUT NEEDING WATER.
They CAN CARRY LIGHT LOADS OF NOT OVER 100 POUNDS.
They CAN EASILY TRAVEL 6 MILES A DAY OVER LUMPY BUMPY GROUND.  On FLAT
ground, the LLAMA CAN RUN FASTER THAN A HORSE.
LLAMAS AR HERD CREATURES. They NEED TO BE WITH OTHER LLAMAS TO BE HAPPY.
Most LLAMAS HAVE BIG PERSONALITIES. They ARE VERY LOVING AND GENTLE.
BUT, REMEMBER,  THEY DO NOT LIKE TO BE STARED AT.

THE KONDOR AND THE EAGLE

One could say that THE EAGLE IS THE MOST RECOGNIZED BIRD, since THE KONDOR IS NOT A WIDELY KNOWN BIRD.
The EAGLE IS CONSIDERED TO BE A BIRD OF VERY SPECIFIC, SELECT STATUS.
The EAGLE IS A BIRD OF PREY, WHEREAS THE KONDOR, ALSO A BIRD OF PREY,
PREFERS FEEDING ON DEAD AND SOMETIMES DECOMPOSED ANIMALS, making it
ALSO A A BIRD WHO EATS CARRION.
The FACT that the KONDOR INGEST DECOMPOSED ANIMALS has made it, IN ANDEAN
SYMBOLISM, a BIRD CAPABLE OF TRANSFORMING ALTERED OR CORRUPTED STATES OF BEING INTO PURE AND ELEVATED STATES OF BEING.
For the ANDEAN BELIEVE, IT IS NOT WHAT ENTERS THE MOUTH THAT CORRUPTS;
RATHER IT IS WHAT GROWS DEEP WITHIN THE SOUL THAT HAS NEITHER DIRECTION NOR INNER VISION.
The message here is not that we should consume something specific, but rather that WE SHOULD TRANSFORM  ANYTHING and EVERYTHING THAT IS NOT IN HARMONY WITH OUR
OWN LIFE EXPERIENCE, and ALWAYS STRIVE TO ELEVATE OURSELVES TOWARDS
THE DIMENSIONS OF WIRACOCHA.

THE ANDEAN CULTURE IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES WITH THE KONDORn

The ANDEAN CULTURE IDENTIFIED THEMSELVES WITH THE KONDOR. The great MALKU KAPAK ( first leader of the INKA DYNASTY) accepted this sacred bird and recognized in
it the same SUN (Inti).
The KONDOR's WINGSPAN IS SO IMPRESSIVE that just TO SEE IT FLY FILLS US with an
intense EMOTION. Seeing a BIRD APPROXIMATELY FOUR METERS LONG with ITS WINGS
EXTENDED approaching us overwhelm us.
The KONDOR's stories are varied. They represent a model of interdependence and necessity.
In order TO ELEVATE ITSELF OFF THE GROUND, the KONDOR NEEDS WARM AIR currents originating in the valleys and flowing upwards towards the heights of snow-capped mountain peaks.
The interesting fact is that THE KONDOR IS NOT CAPABLE OF FLYING AS WELL AS OTHER SPECIES OF BIRDS.  IT MOVES and GLIDES WELL ONLY WITH THE HELP OF WARM WINDS, the kind found in mild climate areas. For this reason the KONDOR ALWAYS LOOKS FOR VALLEYS,  WARM CLIMATES, and other PLACES WHERE WARM WINDS ARE FOUND. The KONDOR DOES NOT have the same skill possessed by other birds of its kind to
ASCEND AND DESCEND IN THE AIR.  It RELIES ON THE WIND for BALANCE and maintaining its EQUILIBRIUM when leaving the ground.
The KONDOR , before BEFORE BEGINNING TO FLY, he PREFERS TO GLIDE with elegance
and majesty.
The Andean culture, and by extension THE INKAS identified themselves with THE KONDOR,  a BIRD that EXEMPLIFIED THE HIGHEST VIRTUES ACHIEVABLE BY MAN AND A BIRD
THAT HELD THE HIGHEST RESPECT FOR HIS OWN PLACE IN THE UNIVERSE.
Comparing with the Hummingbird's ability to fly, these two birds are opposite. The Hummingbird is one of few birds with an outstanding freedom of motion attributed to the agility of its wings. The bird is also capable of flying backwards.
